On-Line Learning Unit #1:
Diploma in Standard Internet Communication (Dip. STIC)

 In order to encourage life long learning, the BaseNotes Forum - in conjunction with the University of Potting Shed - has established BaseNotes University (Matriculated) or BUM. It is intended to offer a series of vocational and quasi-academic courses which require the minimum of effort from busy people. This, coupled with a recognised qualification (pending lavish grants and certification), will make this concept attractive to those with little time and short attention spans.

The first course of study to be offered is the Diploma in Standard Internet Communication (Dip. STIC) . This course of study is designed to test whether the student can:

Find the page required to enrol upon the course of study

Send an email in order to obtain the qualification

Fill in the correct details so that the qualification can be emailed to him / her / it.

Upon completion of the above, the student will be emailed a certificate signed (electronically) by Professor Grumpy Trousers.

The student will also be able to place the assignation "Dip. STIC (BUM)" after his / her name.
