A Post-Maslow Hierarchy of Nerds

We are all familiar with the work of Abraham Maslow, father of humanistic psychology and populariser of the idea that progress consists in scaling an equilateral triangle in order to become (W)hole.

The general idea was that one progressed when one obtained a house, found something to eat, got a few friends, found a mirror and, finally, actualised yourself. This is normally represented thus:

However, later critics have noted that progress invariably reflected the cultural and material aspirations of the middle classes. In order to overcome this class bias it is proposed that each should define their own Hierarchy of Needs, reflecting their own goals and aspirations. In order to set an example, below is the BaseNotes Hierarchy:
